Alexander Rosenberg Glass Art
Alexander Rosenberg is a New York and Philadelphia based glass artist. Alexander received his BFA in glass from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and Master of Science in Visual Studies from MIT. His artistic practice is rooted in the study of glass as a material, and focusing largely on the aesthetically complex properties of clear glass. Rosenberg plays with the magnifying, textural, and prismatic properties of the medium. Creating something beautiful with clear glass is one of the most challenging feats in glassblowing, and the collector is rewarded with a piece unlike found anywhere else.
Alexander rose to national prominence following his incredible run on the Netflix glassblowing show Blown Away, where he was among the final 3 contestants.
The following works below labeled Blown Away are Alexander's recreations of his works from the show. They are not the exact pieces he produced on the show itself, but rather recreations of the pieces created from Alexander's own hand.
