Dale Chihuly Glass Art
The Preeminent, Renowned, American Glassmaster.
Ethel A. Furman with Chihuly Carnival Macchia
The name Dale Chihuly is synonymous with studio glass art, and by far the movement's most prolific name. Chihuly's works are represented in over 170 museums around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and the Louvre in Paris. Chihuly is considered the "Tiffany of contemporary contemporary glass" according to Bill Wormus, former curator of the Corning Museum of Glass. Cynthia Goodman, chief curator at the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center, said "Chihuly took glass from craft to art". The University of North Carolina has named him "America's First National Living Treasure."
You can now share the museum experience and own a piece of that treasure. Each Studio Edition is signed by Chihuly himself. To learn more about Dale Chihuly's art, his life, and his inspirations, read his bio below at the bottom of the page.
